Low Country Food Bank – Skip a Lunch, Feed a Bunch
Posted in: News & Events, By: denise, At: October 5th, 2009
In September, The Low Country Food Bank had a campaign called “Skip a Lunch, Feed a Bunch”. Participants were asked to give up one lunch during the month of September and donate the amount that they would have spent on lunch that day. CMMC, LLC registered as a team and asked for donations from our employees, tenants, and our tenants’ employees. Our goal was to raise $500.00.
We would like to say congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated. We raised $506.00 and we took 1st place in the campaign! The Lowcountry Foodbank reports that through this campaign, with all of the businesses that joined along with individuals that donated, 18,710 meals have been created!!!
Special thanks go out to: Doug Hinson of Excel Apparatus Services, Inc.; Matt Decell of Matt Decell, LLC; Lee Fleming of Marine Terminals Management, LLC; Jessica Rizzo and Julie Carlberg of Urban Electric Company; Moran Towing of Charleston; and Eileen Joye, Rick Brown, Danny Rowland, Dick Gregory, Loy Stewart, Sr., and Denise Oliver of CMMC, LLC.
